Q. CAN I SWITCH/CHANGE FROM ONE RACE TO ANOTHER UP OR DOWN: 5K, HALF MARATHON OR MARATHON?

A. Yes! Just e-mail your request to jason@marathonpb.com specifying the race you are in, registration number and the race you wish to switch to. Unfortunately, there are no refunds.

If you are upgrading you will need to provide your credit card number, expiration date, security number on the back of the card and your name as it is listed on the card. We will charge the amount of the increase from your previous race selection and the new one. After processing is complete we will e-mail an updated confirmation. Allow 7 to 10 days for processing.

Q. CAN I DEFER MY RACE ENTRY TO 2018?

A. Yes! You need to e-mail us at jason@marathonpb.com and specify the reason you wish to defer and we will change your registration to deferred and send you a confirmation reflecting you as deferred. You will be sent a registration in April or May of 2018 marked deferred to 2018. You will need to complete the registration and return the form for us to register you for 2018. Deferring can only be done once. A deferral can not be rolled over for a second year.

Q. HOW DO I VERIFY I’M REGISTERED OR CORRECT/CHANGE MY ENTRY INFO?

A:  To verify your entry, go to the fees page on the website.  To make corrections/changes, e-mail jason@marathonpb.com.

Q. IS THERE A QUALIFYING TIME FOR THE MARATHON OF THE PALM BEACHES?

A. No

Q. HOW DO I TRACK A RUNNER OR FIND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS?

A. Results will be posted on the website shortly after the race. Sorry we don’t offer electronic tracking via text messaging.

Q. WHAT IS WEATHER LIKE ON RACE DAY?

A. The average temperature for December is 67 degrees Fahrenheit

Q. CAN MY DOG RUN WITH ME?

A. No

Q. ARE DOGS ALLOWED AT THE MEYER AMPHITHEATRE OR NEAR THE START/FINISH?

A. Yes, but there is a leash ordinance and with the crowds the dog should be people friendly and obedient.

Q. ARE THERE MANY HILLS ON THE COURSE?

A. No, this is a flat as a pancake, fast course with elevation at sea level.

Q. Do you have an elevation map.

A. No, because there is no need since our course is flat.

Q. CAN I RUN WITH HEADPHONES OR AN IPOD?

A. For safety reasons we discourage running with an Ipod or radio headsets but we don’t restrict it.

Q. CAN I RUN WITH A STROLLER?

A. No

Q. CAN I WALK THE MARATHON?

A. No. We encourage walkers to participate in the Half Marathon and be able to finish in 4 hours.

Q. CAN I REGISTER FOR HALF OR FULL MARATHON ON RACE DAY, DECEMBER 2, 2017?

A. No

Q. WHEN DO I GET A FINISHER AWARD?

A. Marathon, Half Marathon and 4 Person Marathon Team Relay finishers receive a medal when they cross the finish line. See Awards for details on the Prize Purse and age group awards.

Q. IS THERE A PLACE TO STORE MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS ON RACE DAY?

A. Baggage Check/ Pick-Up will be available Sunday  and is located on Datura Street adjacent to the Meyer Amphitheatre as you proceed to the race starting chutes.

Q. WHERE IS BAGGAGE CHECK/PICK UP?

A. Datura Street is on the north side of the Meyer Amphitheatre & Start/Finish line prior to entering the race starting chutes.  If you plan to drop off personal belongings before the race, use the baggage tear-off tag on your bib number and tie it to the bag with your belongings.

Q. IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?

A. We cap the race at 5000 participants

Q. DOES MARATHON OF THE PALM BEACHES ACCEPT LATE REGISTRATIONS?

A. If not sold out, entries will be accepted at the Expo November 30 and December 2

Q. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY & HOW DO I CANCEL?

A. Unfortunately, entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE!

If you cannot participate, please send your request in writing via email to jason@marathonpb.com  (“Cancellation” in the subject line). Unfortunately, we do not accept cancellations over the phone.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

If you cannot participate, we will be happy to send you a T-shirt from the 2017 race. We must receive a written request within 15 days after the race.  Allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery AFTER THE EVENT and is based on availability. Q. WHERE DO I PARK?

A.  A link to parking maps will be coming!

Q. HOW DO I RECEIVE MY RACE PACKET FOR MARATHON, HALF MARATHON & MARATHON TEAM RELAY?

A.  MANDATORY RACE PACKET PICKUP is on November 30 & DECEMBER 1, 2017 for Marathon, Half Marathon & Marathon Team Relay.

Race Packets containing Race BIB Number and Timing Chip will be available at the Sports and Fitness Expo. For pick up location at the Expo 

Each entrant is responsible for picking up his or her race packet. No one will be allowed to pick up a race number for a friend or family member. NO EXCEPTIONS.

IMPORTANT

Race Packets will NOT be issued on Race Day for the Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Team Relay.

Q. IF I AN RUNNING THE 5K WHERE DO I GO FOR PACKET PICK-UP?

A: Race Packets for the 5K containing Race Bib Number, Timing Chip & T shirt will be available at the Sports and Fitness Expo on Friday, November 30, 2017 from noon to 7:00 p.m. or on race morning Saturday, December 1, 2017 from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m at the Meyer Amphitheatre. 

For pick up location at the Expo

Each entrant is responsible for picking up his or her race packet. No one will be allowed to pick up a race number for a friend or family member. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Q. Can Marathon Relay Captains pick up packets for the entire team?

A. Yes

Q. WHERE IS THE START/FINISH?

A. Corner of Flagler Drive and Evernia Street in downtown West Palm Beach

Q. WHEN DOES THE FINISH LINE CLOSE ON DECEMBER 2, 2017?

A. 1:00 p.m.

Q. WHEN WILL THE ROADS BE OPENED?

A. At 12:00 p.m. all roads will open except Flagler between Banyan Blvd and  Fern Street will remain closed until 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Runners on the course far from the finish may be transported to the finish while others who are closer will be asked to move to the sidewalk when the roads open.

Q. WHAT HYDRATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE COURSE?

A. Spring water and Lemon Lime flavor Gatorade Endurance will be served at 24 Wacky Water Stations along the course as well as at the start/finish. e-Gel will be at miles 14.8 & 19.1

Q. WILL THERE BE POST RACE FOOD?

A. Yes! Upon completion runners can choose from bananas, apples, oranges, beagles. muffins and a delicious post race meal provided by Columbia Restaurant.

Q. WHERE ARE THE PORT-O-LETS LOCATED?

A. Meyer Amphitheatre and at every mile along the course

Q. WHERE DOES THE MARATHON TEAM RELAY START?

A. Team Relays start in the same location as all other runners at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Q. WHERE ARE SPECTATOR LOCATIONS?

A. Meyer Amphitheatre and The Palm Beach Post Park located directly south of the Meyer Amphitheatre at the Finish line.  Spectators are welcome all throughout the course.

Q. HOW CAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEET RUNNERS AFTER THEY FINISH?

A. The family meeting area is located at the Meyer Amphitheatre

Q. HOW WILL I BE TIMED?

A. The ChampionChip enables all participants to receive their official time

Q. HOW DO I WEAR THE CHIP?

A. On your shoelace
